Since founding Grace Space in 2008, she has successfully helped individuals and organizations achieve their goals through educational consulting. The heart of Dr. Bell’s consulting services is based on her belief that personal connection, combined with customized services that align with each client, allows her team to provide an unmatched delivery of expert guidance and continued support.

As parents with a child at a new school, one of the main concerns my husband and I have, is the leadership at the school. Upon first meeting Dr Bell, she demonstrated the qualities of an extraordinary principal at Legacy Christian Academy. My husband has been an educator for 17 years, and he believed that finding a principal as outstanding as Dr Bell is rare. She went out of her way to make our daughter, and us as her parents, feel so welcome. The compassion shown towards not only our daughter, but also her other students was evident. Even now, although she is no longer a principal at our daughter’s school, she has been available to advise us when needed. We definitely believe Dr Bell is a God-send, and a valuable asset wherever she goes. I am so very happy I have had the opportunity to be connected with such an amazing person, who is not only passionate about what she does, but she also leads with excellence!
Over the past 4 years, it’s been easy for many to see, feel and benefit from Dr. Joy Bell’s compassionate, caring and loving heart. As a parent, I’ve had the pleasure of knowing this kind-spirited woman by entrusting my children to the pedagogy governance of the Senior Faculty of Legacy Christian Academy School of which Dr. Bell was Middle School Principal. Over the years, I have watched her interact with students, faculty, and parents and her emotional and intellectual prowess has been absolutely game changing.
Dr. Bell has mastered the art of balancing belonging and academia which allows her to connect with students and leverage her spiritual gift of facilitating learning and addressing challenges she is passionate about. Her superior and inspiring expertise (whether inside or out of the classroom) is always used wisely and aided in clearing any confusion or misunderstanding with ease and clarity yet flowing with grace and dignity.

It was an absolute honor to have had Dr. Bell as the Principal over the middle school where my daughters attended school. While it is obvious that she is bright, intelligent, and a highly sophisticated educator, what you may not know until you meet her is just how much of a love and true Christ centered approach she brings to each and every child, parent, teacher, and staff she encounters…..Dr. Bell is truly a humble servant and I’m so much better for having crossed paths with her! And while I can go on and on, all I have to tell you is that when she was absent for even a day, my children missed her presence!
Dr. Bell has a large heart, loves people well, and is committed to pouring into young lives. Working with children in education is her strong passion, and she expertly does this. She has invested a major path of her life in working with children of all ages, from the little ones to young teenagers in middle school/High school.
A caring educator with high expectations for all her students with a commitment to fostering learning in all. Joy was visionary in our college of education as she designed curricula and programs to educate teachers to support learning in every K 12 student. She blended her thorough theoretical knowledge of learning with a practical dedication to the learning of each and every student.
Dr. Bell is an outstanding leader. In her work as Middle School Principal for Legacy Christian Academy, I observed a collaborative style and a drive towards excellence. She holds herself to a high standard and sets the tone for those under her leadership. Her deep knowledge of curriculum and instruction was evident as she addressed the specific needs of our students. She operates with a high level of integrity, empathy, and accountability and would be an asset to any organization.
Dr. Bell showed exceptional leadership during her tenure at Firewheel Christian Academy; her commitment, passion, and razor focus led FCA to a higher level of the school’s academic structure and initial accreditation. Her accreditation experience and knowledge shone brightly during her time there, bringing a higher level of awareness and respect to her career. As I partnered with FCA on the mathematics segment of the curriculum as the implementation consultant, I was amazed at the resources Dr. Bell provided me during my tenure with her administration. Her success at FCA created other opportunities that have enriched her career and life, as Dr. Bell is recognized as one of the true leaders in the education community. Joy actually loves children. Again, I can’t tell you how rare that is, even in education. The way that love first manifests itself is through sight. Joy sees each child in her care as a valuable individual. She delights in and looks for the good in each student. My two sons are wildly different from each other (as anyone with multiple kids can attest), and she sees them. She gets them. She accepts them. She challenges them.
I have also worked with Joy as a colleague. In addition, Joy is a master educator. She understands curriculum and learning.

Grace Space is a GAME CHANGER!
I can confidently say that making the decision to partner with Dr. Joy was one of the best decisions I have ever made as a parent.From Kindergarten through 7th grade I struggled to advocate for my son and navigate our options for support throughout the school system. We felt like we tried everything. Public school, private school, charter school, ongoing therapy, tutoring, occupational therapy. My son was diagnosed with a sensory disorder and a high IQ at a young age. He was impacted by the sudden death of a parent as well as a diagnosis of ADHD. In 4th grade, I was finally told about a 504 plan as an option. Looking back I am frustrated that they didn’t share that his diagnosis of ADHD qualified him for SPED accommodations.He doesn’t fit in ANY shaped box and his struggles at school, both socially and academically, were beginning to have a detrimental impact on his confidence and his grades. I threw my hands up and decided it was time to hold him back to repeat 7th grade. I didn’t feel like there were any other options to help him thrive socially and keep up academically without a fresh start as a 7th grader. Thankfully my son’s amazing therapist personally recommended Grace Space and Dr. Joy Bell.She responded to my inquiry immediately and promptly scheduled our first meeting to discuss my son. I could tell right away that her support was exactly what we needed to help him finally get on track for the long run. She didn’t waste any time at all getting her arms around the complexity of our situation, diving right in with teachers and administrators, and most importantly, bonding with my son and working on his confidence. In 1 semester’s time, we went from failing grades in all core classes to not only passing but straight B’s. Beyond grade improvements, we gained heavy ground by adapting his 504 plan to be more robust and ensuring that what was in the 504 plan was actually being implemented. We were able to fully complete his full SPED and Autism Spectrum testing through the school by the end of the school year.With the help of Dr. Joy Bell, we are heading confidently into 8th grade with better confidence, better organization, and a “game plan” to prevent what had become the norm of feeling as if we were treading water each school year. Just wanted to let you know we FINALLY got the IEP results. He does not have what I thought. However, he does qualify for IEP services. I’m so glad Dr. Bell was advocating for us and guided us through this process.
